Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026Version: 1.0
This policy explains what personal information FaceFlirt collects, why we process it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the FaceFlirt mobile app and this website.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name or display name, email address, date of birth or age confirmation, and your password credentials.
- Profile information — profile photos, gender, country and any details you choose to add.
- Device and technical information — device model, operating system, app version, language, and IP address.
- Usage information — how you use features such as matching, likes, rewind and chat, including approximate timestamps.
- Matching information — the preferences you set (such as gender and country) and match history used to run the service.
- Communications — text messages and delivery/read status required to provide chat, plus messages you send to our support team.
- Safety and report information — reports you submit or that are submitted about you, and related evidence, block records and moderation outcomes.
Live video calls are transmitted to connect you with the other participant. We do not record your calls for advertising or profiling purposes.
2. Why we use your information
- Creating and managing your account and authenticating you;
- Matching you with other users according to your preferences;
- Delivering calls, messages and notifications;
- Security, fraud prevention and abuse detection;
- Moderation and enforcement of our Terms and Community Guidelines;
- Customer support and responding to your requests;
- Measuring and improving the service;
- Complying with legal obligations and responding to lawful requests.
Where required, our legal bases are performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating a safe service, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where you have given it.
3. Sharing
We share personal information with service providers who host our infrastructure, deliver video and messaging, process payments through the app stores, and help us moderate content — each under contract and only for those purposes. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users' safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction.
4. We do not sell your personal information
FaceFlirt does not sell users' personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
5. Data security
We use technical and organisational measures including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and report anything suspicious.
Access to personal information is limited to personnel who need it for their work and who are bound by confidentiality obligations. If a security incident affects your data, we will notify the relevant regulators and affected users where required by law.
6. Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed for the purposes described here. Some records — such as safety, moderation and transaction records — are retained longer where necessary to prevent repeat abuse or to meet legal obligations.
7. Account deletion
You can delete your account in the app at Settings → Privacy & Safety, or from the web at /delete-account. Deletion removes your profile from the service and starts deletion of associated data, except records we must retain for legal, security or safety reasons.
The deletion process is the same from the app or the web: your profile is hidden immediately, you confirm the request with a one-time code sent to your email, and a 30-day cooling-off period follows during which you can restore everything by signing in. After 30 days your personal data is permanently erased, except records we must keep for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes. Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel it separately in your store account settings.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Under the GDPR you may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Under CCPA/CPRA, California residents may request access, deletion and correction, and may exercise these rights without discrimination.
To make a request, email legal@faceflirtapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting.
9. International transfers
FaceFlirt is a global service, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Children
FaceFlirt is strictly 18+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we delete such accounts when identified.
We apply age-verification measures at registration and during moderation to enforce this requirement. Records and obligations under 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and similar laws are handled in our 2257 Statement.
11. Changes and contact
We will update the version and date above when this policy changes materially. Questions: legal@faceflirtapp.com.
